Corazon Aquino

founder

Corazon is the firstborn daughter of the late Okore Booker Charles. She is the co-founder of Raised to Lead, a platform that honours fathers and celebrates the powerful influence of daddy-daughter bonds in shaping women's leadership. She is a partnership and communications specialist passionate about creating and sustaining partnerships for development, particularly in access to quality healthcare and education. She has over 12 years of experience in partnership development, stakeholder engagement, and mobilising resources to fund change in community health systems.

Lavender Awino

Co-founder

Lavender is a Doctoral Researcher and Strategy Consultant passionate about youth and 3rd sector engagement. She serves on the Advisory Board of KECTIL Youth Community Kenya and is co founder of ELAN-DOME Consultants - knowledge partners of Raised to Lead. She is experienced in Business excellence, Stakeholder Relationship Management (SRM), Human centred Design Thinking and interdisciplinary research in health, education, climate action and management studies. Lavender is also the beloved last-born daughter of Okore Booker Charles. Spending some good time with her nephew and nieces sparks the fire in her, a safe space that refreshes her, thus keeping her on the leadership stage.

Designer and Education Consultant

Sandra Akinyi is a designer and education consultant with a strong background in graphic design and community-focused learning initiatives. She has worked extensively in educational consultancy, supporting schools, parents, and students through program development, and strategic communication. With a growing passion for human-centered design, Sandra is advancing her career in UI/UX, bringing together creativity, structure, and problem-solving to build meaningful, accessible digital experiences.

Tessy Lulia Salano

Interdisciplinary Researcher

Tessy is an interdisciplinary researcher and development practitioner applying systems thinking to enhance human development. A creative at heart, she is passionate about research, writing, and telling African stories to leverage evidence-based planning. She strives to bridge the gap between research outcomes, their application, and policy implementation. With expertise in research design and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E), Tessy manages the full research lifecycle from inception and field collection to quantitative and qualitative data analysis. She excels at transforming complex findings into actionable insights. A Master of Development Studies graduate, she is committed to driving sustainable impact through action research and strategic reporting.
